Spring ... Beautiful Spring Morns...

Well, I dug out some of my china and, after changing my mind umpteen times, decided to go with this lone cup.  My cat knocked a tub of cups and saucers down the basement steps thus a single cup ...no saucer. This is a sweet tea cup  called "Springmorn". It is fine bone china made in England by Bell  #4649 7.

I won this teacup on e-bay.  When I first discovered e-bay I went kind of nuts until it sunk in that the shipping turned a great deal into a regular deal.... and although I always seem to be a member of the Full Price Club  it just wasn't as much fun!

The photo display includes some adorable Fitz and Floyd  my daughter got me years ago for my b-day.  There is the sweet duckling creamer and decorated egg sugar bowl and the salt and pepper.  She also got me the tea pot to match ... I'll share it another time.

I am pretty frustrated right now.... I bought a tripod, actually this is my second, and the little screw thingy to connect my camera seems to be stripped... this is the type of pictures I am getting ...

I'm going to see what can be done, but in the mean time taking photos is a real trial!!!  The camera just sits there and wobbles or falls off completely!

Blessings to you and yours, L

  2. What a sweet little Bell cup! I love the daffodils on it. Bell cups always look so perfectly vintage to me.
I know what you mean about tripods...I had one like that once and it was very frustrating. I wish you luck in working out your photo issues.

  3. I like your Springmorn teacup very much. I don't mind tea cups or saucers without a mate ... I'll eventually find one to *fit*. The search is fun! Fitz and Floyd -- one of my favorites! Happy Tea Day!

  4. Oh what a lovely teacup, I love the pretty flowers. Your egg and duck accessories are such a sweet gift from your daughter, I always love Fitz and Floyd, they create the most wonderful pieces. Great vignette on your tray. Too bad about the tripod. That is really annoying I am sure. Thanks tons for joining TTT. Hugs, Marty

  8. Hi Linda,
you made me smile. I am also on ebay and you are right. One have to look to the shipping costs, too. But it is an easy way to buy nice things from around the world. Your tea cup is beautiful. Thank you for sharing the pretty photos.
Greetings to you and the cat,
    Johanna

  10. Hello,
Lovely teacup - I have several that are missing their saucers - so I just mix and match - they seem friendly that way! I have cats outdoors - it's our little dog that creates the havock - I think she thinks she's a cat - sitting on her perches.
I appreciate you sharing with A Return to Loveliness,
    Kathy

  12. Hello Linda,
Cute teacup! I too have cups with missing saucers. Sometimes I just match them up with something similar. It's fun to have a tea with mismatched china at times. Oftentimes, it's more charming. Your duckling creamer is adorable. Thank you for sharing your finds and joining me for tea. Have a delightful day.

    Blessings,
    Sandi
