TeaCup Tuesday #3 Royal Albert Petit Point China

Hi there.  Sorry I missed last week.  I wasn't feeling well so basically just did what I HAD to do and rested as much as possible. Missed you all.

The backstamp “Royal Albert Bone China England Petit Point China Reg. No. 778676” indicates that these pieces were manufactured after 1935.

Today I'm sharing a Royal Albert pattern called Petit Point China.  The pattern is a gorgeous rendition of delicate Petit Point embroidery on porcelain, with gold accents at the rim, handle and base.

The patterns shape is called Hampton. This pattern, although a longtime favorite, has been discontinued. It was manufactured from 1932 to December 1997.

I have a dessert service for at least 8. The 2 large handled square plates are actually cake or sandwich plates although I use them as a luncheon plate.

I borrowed this picture from the internet to show you the cake plate which is 91/4"

This is a large tea pot ... maybe 6-8 cups

I hope you enjoy!

  10. Hi, I too have this set. It was my mother's, and her mother's before that. My mom was born in 1934. Gramma must have had this set for a couple years by this time. When visiting Michigan a few years back I came across a tea setting that which is of very small size. Perhaps a child size. I found it in a antique shop. It came with a hanger that held both the little teacup and saucer. Perhaps a child's gift. Very pretty.
